This year the Swarmathon is launching a new competition called the Swarmathon Mission to Mars. One of the things that would be helpful to both NASA and other researchers, would be to to have more Mars simulated environments to run tests and experiments in. So, we are encouraging Swarmathon teams to step up and use Gazebo to create a Mars-like environment and design their own Mars Mission.
This optional competition will offer the following prizes of:
$1,000 – FIRST PLACE
$500 – SECOND PLACE
$250 – THIRD PLACE
To enter the competition teams must: complete a registration form, upload code to github, and provide a link to a youtube video showing their mission in action.
All teams are encouraged to register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Once registered, Dr. Matthew Fricke will email you a link to a Gthub Repository where you can upload both your code and a README file containing a link to your Youtube video.
The deadline for registration is March 23rd and all files must be uploaded March 27th.
